Whispering Lake is set to release The Mystery of Whispering Lake on all major platforms in the first half of 2025!
The band is hard at work in the studio putting the finishing touches on the album’s tracks, which chronicle their queer goth pagan folk life in Astoria, Queens, and points beyond.
The album has been a year and a half in the making, as these tracks have taken form through workshops, song circles, and retreats across the U.S., in Spain, and in the Dominican Republic.
Bandleader M.J. Schneider painted the cover art for this album release, working in acrylic on canvas.

Save KDHX: The Album
Our rock collaboration under the Impossible Bookings moniker produced a track released on Save KDHX: The Album. The compilation, out on Rubberstamp Records, benefits The LOVE of KDHX, a nonprofit supporting efforts to address the management of St. Louis nonprofit indie station KDHX-FM.
Check out track 17, “Don’t Know What It Is (About KDHX),” a protest song that’s a bit of a lo-fi indie slow burn. The song is a tribute to several DJs formerly on KDHX-FM’s roster who shaped our tastes.
